Font Pairing

What does it mean to create a font pairing?

If means to choose fonts that complement each other and complement a graphic.

What are the four assignments you chose to do? Write the name of the assignment and describe your design for each. I completed the destination font pairing. For that, I used a photo taken at the beach in Thailand, and then I wrote Krabi, Thailand. I used the star photo and chose a quote I felt matched the photo. I chose my own quote, by Steve Jobs. Finally, I used the saying Hot and Fresh out of the Kitchen. For that I included a small graphic.

Which assignment would you say is your BEST font pairing and why?

I believe my best font pairing is the one where the photo, of the night sky, was given to us and we had to come up with a saying and fonts.

Which assignment would you say is your Least Successful font pairing and why?

I think my least successful was the one where I chose my own quote because it is not as simple as my other designs.

How would you describe the font pairing process? What makes a font pairing so difficult?

There are a myriad of tedious steps to the font pairing process. The most important part is finding two or more fonts that work well together, and then, you have to make sure the font fits the wording and goes will with the photo. The most difficult part is making sure the photo and the fonts look nice together.
